The Founder's Story
HerStory was born from a deeply personal calling — a conviction that the girls growing up in Waco and Central Texas deserved more than programs. They deserved people. They deserved relationships that would see them, call out their potential, and walk with them through the hard parts of growing up.
Our founder saw firsthand how the formative years between 13 and 20 can define the trajectory of a young woman's life — and how the presence of a caring mentor can be the difference between a girl who shrinks away and one who steps boldly into who God created her to be.
What began as a small gathering of girls and women around a shared table has grown into a vibrant community of mentors, volunteers, families, and supporters — all united by one belief: every woman and girl has a story, and every story matters.

Faith at the Center
Everything we do is rooted in a belief that every woman and girl was created with divine purpose and worth. Faith isn't an add-on — it's the foundation. We create space for women and girls to encounter God, ask questions, and discover who He says they are.
Real Mentorship
Our mentors aren't strangers handing out advice. They're women who walk alongside women and girls consistently — in the hard moments, the breakthroughs, and everything in between. One relationship can change everything.

HerStory isn't a program women and girls attend. It's a community they belong to. We build sisterhood — the kind where women and girls show up for each other, celebrate each other's wins, and never feel alone in their story.

HerStory provides faith-based mentorship, leadership development, and empowerment programming for girls in grades 7–12, young women, adult women, and seasoned women throughout McLennan County and Central Texas. Our programs are open to all women and girls regardless of background, denomination, or zip code.
